Nectar Mattress Review : Classic vs Premier vs Luxe vs Ultra

If you decided a Nectar foam mattress is right for you, you're already in good shape. Nectar is known for their comfy, supportive, and cooling memory foam mattresses. But they have four foam mattresses to choose from. Which one is perfect for you?

I'm going to discuss all four of these models today. I'll talk about each model, what it feels like, its special features, and a lot more. By the end, you'll know which Nectar mattress is right for you.

Nectar Foam Mattress Lineup

Before we get into the specific models, it's important to note that the Nectar mattresses are now available in both all-foam and hybrid versions.

Today, we'll be focusing on the all-foam Nectar mattresses.

The four foam models are:

  • Nectar Classic

  • Nectar Premier

  • Nectar Luxe

  • Nectar Ultra

Nectar Classic Mattress

The Nectar Classic features the most basic design out of these four mattresses, and it is also the most affordable.

Construction

It features:

  • A thinner layer of memory foam on top

  • A transition layer

  • Base support foam on the bottom

Cooling Features

On the top of the Nectar Classic, you're going to find a special cooling cover.

Memory foam is often known for trapping body heat, which can make you feel overheated during the night. But this cover is designed to offset this issue.

The cover features cooling fiber woven into it, which is designed to dissipate body heat, so you're not overheating so much during the night.

Firmness and Feel

With a thinner layer of memory foam on top, this mattress is closer to medium firm.

It scored a 7 out of 10, which is just a tad firmer than average.

You'll get a bit of give, but you'll also get the feeling of more supportive layers deeper in the mattress.

You'll experience some contouring right on top of the mattress, but you're not going to sink in very far.

Overall, it's very easy to move around on top of the Nectar Classic.

Sleeping Position Performance

Back Sleepers

Being so close to medium firm, the Nectar Classic is going to be a great fit for most back sleepers.

You'll feel your hips sink in just the right amount, while the top foam layer contours to your curves.

Side Sleepers

Many side sleepers will find the Nectar Classic is too firm.

Unless you are a lightweight sleeper, you could feel some serious pressure on your shoulders and hips.

Stomach Sleepers

The Nectar Classic offers the best support for stomach sleeping out of all four models.

With discounts, a Nectar Classic Queen size will cost around $650.

Nectar Premier Mattress

The Nectar Premier is a step up in terms of comfort and cooling.

Construction and Cooling

You get:

  • More memory foam on top for a softer feel

  • More cooling fiber in the cover for greater heat dissipation

Firmness and Feel

The Nectar Premier scored closer to a 6.5 out of 10, which is exactly medium firm.

It has more of that slow-moving memory foam feel compared to the Nectar Classic.

The memory foam is not so thick that you'll sink super far into the mattress and feel stuck.

It should still be easy to change positions on top of the Nectar Premier.

Sleeping Position Performance

Back Sleepers

Given that it's exactly medium firm, the Nectar Premier is a great option for most back sleepers.

You'll feel a perfect balance of comfort and support, and that extra memory foam offers more contouring.

Side Sleepers

The Nectar Premier is a better match than the Nectar Classic.

It offers solid pressure relief for the shoulders and hips.

Stomach Sleepers

Stomach sleepers will probably prefer the Nectar Classic.

With discounts, you'll spend around $950 for a Queen size.

Nectar Luxe Mattress

The Nectar Luxe offers even more comfort and cooling than the two previous mattresses.

Construction and Cooling

That means:

  • More memory foam on top

  • More cooling fiber in the cover

Firmness and Feel

The Nectar Luxe scored a 6 out of 10, which is softer than average.

It provides even more contouring and more of that quick-sandy memory foam feel.

Because of the added softness, it becomes a bit more difficult to move around and change positions.

Sleeping Position Performance

Back Sleepers

The Nectar Luxe is just an okay match for back sleepers.

If you weigh under 200 pounds, it could be supportive enough.

Most strict back sleepers will likely prefer the Premier or the Classic.

Side Sleepers

Side sleeping on the Nectar Luxe is fantastic.

It offers very good cushioning around the shoulders and hips while still supporting spinal alignment.

Stomach Sleepers

The Nectar Luxe won't work for the majority of stomach sleepers.

They'll want to check out either the Premier or the Classic.

The Nectar Luxe costs around $1,250 for a Queen size.

Nectar Ultra Mattress

The Nectar Ultra is the highest-end mattress in the memory foam line and offers the most memory foam and cooling features.

Advanced Cooling Features

You get:

  • More cooling material woven into the cover

  • Phase Change Material (PCM)

Phase Change Material is an advanced cooling material that actively regulates your body temperature while you sleep.

Zoned Support

The Nectar Ultra is also zoned, meaning:

  • Firmer toward the center

  • Softer toward the head and foot

This is designed to provide extra lumbar support and keep you in good alignment in all sleeping positions.

Firmness and Feel

Even with the zoning, the Nectar Ultra is a very soft mattress.

It scored a 5 out of 10, which is much softer than average.

With thick memory foam on top, you'll sink in quite a bit for a soft feel and a more pronounced contouring memory foam experience.

It's also pretty difficult to move around and change positions.

Sleeping Position Performance

Back Sleepers

While it is zoned, the Nectar Ultra is probably too soft for most back sleepers.

Better support can be found on the Nectar Premier and Nectar Classic.

Side Sleepers

The Nectar Ultra is a dream for side sleepers.

It provides the best pressure relief out of all four mattresses.

The zoning helps keep the spine in good alignment.

Stomach Sleepers

The Ultra is probably too soft for most stomach sleepers.
