Emma Mattress Review After 10 Months Daily Use

Emma Mattress Review After 10 Months: Honest Long-Term Experience

After using the Emma Mattress for 10 months, it was time for a long-term review. We originally unboxed the mattress nearly a year ago and have continued sleeping on it ever since. Importantly, we never returned it during the trial period, which says a lot about our overall satisfaction.

First Impressions After 10 Months

The mattress has now become part of the family. Ten months later, we still enjoy sleeping on it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable mattress.

What We Like About the Emma Mattress

Excellent Motion Isolation

One of the biggest positives is how little movement transfers across the mattress.

There is a slight difference in weight between us, and with previous mattresses, whenever one person turned over, it felt like sleeping on a bouncy castle. In fact, we used to call those "bouncy castle mattresses."

With the Emma Mattress, that sensation is gone. When one person moves, the other hardly notices.

Comfortable Every Night

The mattress feels comfortable both when sitting on it and when getting into bed at night.

At first, it can feel quite high when sitting on the edge, but once you settle in with your pillows and bedding, it becomes extremely comfortable. It feels easy to relax and drift off to sleep.

Consistently Good Sleep

We both agree that we get a good night's sleep on this mattress.

Of course, everyone has occasional nights where they struggle to sleep, but that isn't caused by the mattress. There hasn't been a night where the mattress itself has felt uncomfortable.

Mattress Shape and Body Contouring

After 10 months of use, there is a visible dip on both sides of the mattress where we normally sleep.

The larger dip is on the heavier sleeper's side, while the smaller dip is on the lighter sleeper's side.

Rather than seeing this as a problem, it feels like the mattress has molded to our bodies. The center section remains firmer and slightly raised, which can feel harder if you move into that area.

As a result, you naturally settle back into your usual sleeping position.

Does the Mattress Need Rotating?

One interesting point is that we have never rotated or flipped the mattress.

Many mattresses require regular turning, but with the Emma Mattress, we have simply left it in place for the entire 10 months.

Adjustment Period

It's worth mentioning that getting used to the mattress can take time.

For one sleeper, the adjustment period lasted nearly a month before the mattress felt completely natural.

This is something potential buyers should keep in mind when trying any new mattress.

Washable Cover

The Emma Mattress includes a removable cover that can be unzipped and washed.

The top cover simply zips off and can be washed according to the care instructions. A 40-degree wash is recommended, while tumble drying, ironing, and dry cleaning should be avoided.

Although our cover still looks clean, having a removable cover is a useful feature for long-term maintenance.

What About the Mattress Smell?

A lot of people commented on our original unboxing video about a rubber-like smell.

Personally, neither of us noticed any smell when the mattress was new.

Of course, everyone has a different sense of smell, so experiences may vary, but from our point of view, it was never an issue.

Any Negatives?

The only real negative we found is the body contouring effect.

Because each side has molded slightly to our sleeping positions, the raised section in the middle can feel firmer. If you try to sleep in the center, you may notice that difference.

Other than that, we have struggled to find any significant complaints.

After 10 Months Daily Use

After 10 months of daily use, we would still highly recommend the Emma Mattress.
